Job Description


The General Manager, Operations Management is responsible for the provision of strategic advice and support across the department on a range of strategic, workforce and emergency management initiatives in line with the Service Delivery operating model. The role is responsible for:

• Leading and driving performance management with a strong focus on managing the quality output of staff within the Division to support service delivery performance priorities.
• Leading and managing the department’s channel operations facility, the department’s engine room for service delivery performance;
• Leading and driving initiatives that enhance the customer contact centre experience, including the integration of digital services into the service delivery suite;
• Leading key projects to support telephony architecture

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are highly desirable.

This role may be filled on an ongoing or non-ongoing (fixed term) appointment.

An order of merit may be established to fill similar roles as they become available within a 12-month period.

While the preferred location for the role is Canberra, consideration may be given to high quality candidates who reside in other locations.
