- Report to the Managing Director, Hearing Australia
- Based at National Support Office (Macquarie University)
- $190K base salary plus 15.4% super

The Strategic Adviser position is a key role that provides high-level strategic policy advice to the Managing Director, Hearing Australia’s Senior Management team and the Board of Hearing Australia.

This includes preparing high quality advice, briefs and supporting material, undertaking research on current and emerging issues, engaging extensively with government departments and agencies on new policy measures to improve national hearing outcomes, and helping drive the transformation of Hearing Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to provide thought leadership within a highly successful organisation providing critical services to the Australian community.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice in a fast and complex operating environment
- Strong understanding and knowledge of public sector reporting requirements and policies, or demonstrated ability to develop this understanding rapidly
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Ability to recognise sensitive issues and initiate solutions in collaboration with senior management

In addition, knowledge of the hearing health sector is highly desirable

The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with Hearing Australia.
