Duties


THE ROLE

Our clients’ global operating environment is changing rapidly – driven by digital transformation and significant geo-political, economic and demographic shifts. Over the next five years, these shifts will create new challenges and opportunities for our clients.

Your role is the Lead for the Andean Region of South America helping exporters, investors and buyers to navigate these changes, mitigate risk and be among the first to capitalise on emerging opportunities.

You will manage and lead a team of local business development and/or investment managers across the South American region – including Bogota, Columbia, Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile. Austrade’s team of highly skilled business/investment managers promote and facilitate new trade and investment business for Australia by building strong relationships with the local business community. In some locations, you will also identify and work with international investors that are looking to invest in Australia and help Australian businesses establish themselves abroad.

The successful candidate will be subject to a national security assessment to Negative Vetting 2 (NV2).

Specified term positions will be for the period of three (3) or four (4) years
