Duties


For 4-6 weeks interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experts in their field. Our internship establishes a mentor-mentee relationship with our interns to ensure that you get the most out of your internship experience.

Interns have the opportunity to apply and develop the skills and knowledge they are
acquiring at university in a professional workplace, while also gaining exposure to a
Commonwealth Government agency that has far-reaching consumer, economic, industry
and legal implications.

ACCC/AER interns promote competition, efficiency and consumer welfare by supporting:

• economic regulation of large national infrastructure;

• regulation of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010;

• investigations into alleged contraventions of the competition and consumer law provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010;

• the analysis and research of issues and new developments that affect consumer product safety.

• participate in briefings and training on the ACCC/AER’s wider activities

Eligibility


Internship opportunities may be offered on a full-time or part-time (Minimum 30 hours per week) basis. Candidates interested in full time and part time opportunities are encouraged to apply. The ACCC is an equal opportunity employer.

Our 2020 internship offers affirmative measures for Indigenous people and people with disability.

Internship opportunities will be available in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

Our 2020 Internship Program will run for 4 - 6 weeks.
