Duties


AFMA’s Temporary Employment Register enables AFMA to access appropriately skilled and experienced individuals at short notice for short term (non-ongoing) employment opportunities that may arise.

We are seeking expressions of interest from persons who wish to be placed on our Temporary Employment Register at the APS 1- EL 2. The roles include:

• Natural Resource Management
• Policy
• Customer Service
• Compliance
• Human Resources
• Executive Support
• Administration
• Property and Facilities Management
• Security
• Records Management
• Finance
• Legal
• Communications
• Technology and Digital Services
• Observer Program (at sea duties)

In your application please indicate the areas of work you have expertise and experience, the areas you are interested, and also your qualifications. Your registration in the Temporary Employment Register will remain active until 27 February 2020.
 

Eligibility


Applicants must be Australian citizens to be eligible for employment at AFMA.

The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a specified clearance level.
 

Notes


Non-ongoing opportunities will be offered for varying periods and contracts will be based on operational demands up to a maximum of 18 months. There is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made.

AFMA’s Canberra and Lakes Entrance offices have an office setup that has an increased focus on agility and collaborative workspaces. Our technology and environment is centered on activity based work where staff are not allocated a desk.
