Hostel management opportunities are available for motivated and experienced individuals to join AHL in a fast paced, operational environment in Nhulunbuy and Katherine NT. These vacancies are available for immediate filling, and we are also seeking to create a merit list for filling future vacancies and to establish a pool of on-call casual employees who are available to work at short notice. A summary of the positions is as follows:

Nhulunbuy NT:
Hostel Manager

Katherine NT:
Assistant Hostel Manager

As part of the Hostel Management Team, you will have primary responsibility for the day to day operations of the hostel. You will work under the general direction of the Business Manager, and will provide supervision to hostel workers on a daily basis, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to our residents.

- Current CPR training and First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current Drivers Licence.

- Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent
- Previous management experience in a residential environment.

- Hold Australian Citizenship
- Obtain a Working with Children’s Check
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Check
- Satisfactory Medical Assessment
- Satisfactorily complete a Probation period.


Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

A Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for 6-12 months initially, with the possibility of extension.
An Ongoing opportunity may be offered within the first 12 months of employment.
