Duties


Reporting to the Deputy Director-General for Enterprise Management, the Cyber and Critical Technologies Intelligence Mission Manager (IMM) leads the integration, coordination and evaluation of the National Intelligence Community (NIC) in its Cyber and Critical Technologies efforts. The Cyber and Critical Technologies IMM contributes to ONI's senior leadership cohort and plays a key role in the implementation of the 2017 Independent Intelligence Review recommendations.

The role
The Cyber and Critical Technologies IMM leads a small team within ONI to provide leadership to the NIC so as to ensure the appropriate integration, strategic planning, coordination, and capability development in support of the Cyber and Critical Technologies Missions. The IMM act as a steward for the mission area, guiding the NIC to build for the future and deliver the best outcomes for Government.

As part of this role you will:
• develop and oversee the implementation of intelligence strategies and plans to guide the NIC in support of the Cyber and Critical Technologies missions
• regularly convene and chair governance bodies to lead, coordinate and integrate the NIC to ensure alignment of the intelligence community
• maintain oversight of Cyber and Critical Technologies activities undertaken by the NIC and contribute to the evaluation of the NIC's efforts against these missions
• regularly engage with key policy and intelligence partners and maintain strategic relationships within the NIC, broader Australian Government, as well as international counterparts
• identify capability gaps and resource shortfalls impacting the Cyber and Critical Technologies Missions and lead approaches to address these gaps via ONI and broader Government processes
• report periodically to relevant governance committees and work with the ONI senior leadership team to embody ONI's role in leading an integrated intelligence community.

 

Eligibility
