At the Department of Education we are looking for a diverse range of skills and backgrounds. For the 2020 graduate program, the department will offer a number of career pathways including Generalist, Data, Human Resources and Legal. Degree disciplines in Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Business Administration will be considered for specialist placements within the Generalist pathway. The Department’s Graduate Program commences in early 2020 for ten months. Graduates commence as an APS3 and are promoted to the APS4 level upon successful completion of the program. As a graduate within the Department of Education, we will offer you:

Eligibility


To be eligible for the 2020 Department of Education Graduate Program, you must:
• Be an Australia Citizen - under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.
• You must have successfully completed a Bachelor degree or higher within five years prior to the start date of the 2020 Education Graduate Program (early 2020)
• Be eligible to obtain a valid Australian Government security clearance
• Applicants must be prepared to relocate to Canberra for the 2020 graduate program.
