Job Description


An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced IT Support Officer. The position will work within the Information Technology (IT) section and be responsible for providing high quality, responsive, courteous and timely 1st and 2nd level IT support across the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

The successful candidate will be skilled in providing IT support to a diverse range of stakeholders, have strong customer service skills, be flexible and initiative. The position will also support strategic IT initiatives by developing and maintaining IT policies and procedures, delivering IT training, self-help and user guides, and participating in project-related work as required.

The ideal applicant will also have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating System with demonstrated experience in Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL and Skype for Business.

The candidate will require exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate in a confident and articulate manner including working collaboratively with team members and other relevant stakeholders to meet their changing needs.

About Administrative Appeals Tribunal 

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) has offices located in all states of Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian Government, some non-government bodies and the Norfolk Island Government.

On 1 July 2015 the Migration Review Tribunal, Refugee Review Tribunal and Social Security Appeals Tribunal were merged with the AAT. The amalgamated AAT comprises a number of Divisions: Social Services and Child Support, Migration and Refugee, and General and Other.
