The Role

Austrade is looking for capable People Desk Officers to join our People Desk Team in Canberra. As a People Desk Officer, you will be responsible for delivering first and second tier generalist support for Austrade’s people across its global network in 80+ locations across 50 countries.

The People Desk responds to staff members seeking information about their employment conditions and provisions at Austrade, and information is exchanged via telephone, email, online chat, and direct contact. The People Desk also provides general administrative support to teams in the People Branch. This role will also provide administrative support to teams across People Branch, and you will be supported and recognised for your contributions.

Note: The People Desk operates between 7am and 7pm AEST, Monday to Friday. Team members are required to be available for a 7.5 hour shift between the aforementioned hours and be flexible with other team members to ensure help desk coverage.


The successful candidate will be subject to a national security assessment to Baseline.
