Duties


As the Senior Advisor Response Communication Contracts, you will be responsible for managing the contracts for the provision of AMSA’s Cospas-Sarsat (MEOSAR) distress beacon, vessel tracking (AIS), satellite and HF radio communication systems.

Specifically, in this role you will manage system performance between internal stakeholders and contractors and monitor and report on contract performance and system availability.

You will be a key liaison with Maritime New Zealand regarding the integration and operation of the Australian MEOSAR and New Zealand MEOSAR and GEOSAR systems.

Reporting to the Principal Advisor AtoN Asset Management, you will be part of a strong customer focused and results driven team of professionals.
 

Eligibility


To be successful in this position, you will have tertiary qualifications in project/contract management, maritime communications or demonstrated skills and experience in a closely related field.

Your understanding of government policy in relation to procurement, tendering and contract management will be key to your success. You will have highly developed project and contract management skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts/projects.

You will have high-level skills and experience in negotiation and liaison and will be a natural promoter and influencer, with an ability to engage and network with a variety of stakeholders. You will possess strong presentation, written and verbal capacities and you will be technically qualified.
