The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory Commonwealth agency. Our role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The NDIS will mean peace of mind for every Australian - for anyone who has, or might acquire, a disability.

Working for the NDIA means you have the opportunity to contribute to building a new Commonwealth agency from the ground up. The NDIA is still growing and creating its own identity while developing new and innovative programs for our employees and the Australian community we serve.

The NDIA has a strong culture, driven by passion for the work we do and commitment to supporting people with disability to achieve greater independence. Our people are pioneering the management and delivery of the NDIS. We also aim to be world leaders in accessibility and inclusion, the employment of people with disability and people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The idea of people with disability being supported to live an ordinary life is central to the work of the NDIS. Through reasonable and necessary supports, the NDIS is helping people live a life with the basic opportunities many Australians take for granted.

This might mean getting involved in the community, enrolling in education programs, spending more time with family, entering the workforce for the first time or returning to work, receiving the right equipment or choosing the providers that best meet their needs.

With effective set up of several new sites within regions, together with oversight of existing offices, the NDIA is always looking for people to register their interest for upcoming or future non-ongoing vacancies. Initial employment periods can range anywhere from one week to 18 months.
