As a Senior Executive in the Service Delivery Operations Group you will provide leadership, model organisational values, and provide high level and strategic advice, expertise and support to deliver customer services on behalf of the government.

The department has the following National Manager vacancies available in the Service Delivery Operations Group:

National Manager, North NSW is an identified positon. The role is responsible for leading a service zone to deliver services that meet our customers’ requirements and are delivered in ways that are easy to find and efficient to access. The role is the face of the department, leading community and stakeholder engagement to improve their understanding of services and to assist in the design and delivery of services. You will ensure the effective delivery of the department’s services including integrating customer service delivery and improving outcomes for customers.

The role is responsible for a geographic location spanning North, Central and Mid Coasts of NSW and the Hunter regions. Consideration may be given to high quality candidates based between Sydney and Tweed Heads.

This is an ‘Identified’ position which signifies that the role has a strong involvement in issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The successful applicant must have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People. People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent are strongly encouraged to apply.

National Manager, Operational Planning - is responsible for developing, implementing and leading strategies to meet service delivery outcomes for stakeholders inside and outside the department. This includes workload and workforce management within the Service Delivery Operations Group as well as operational planning for Health, Child Support and Compliance Risk. It is also responsible for the coordination of the department’s response to emergencies including telephony and claim processing services.

The National Manager, Operational Planning manages the Channel Operations Facility, this involves real-time operational monitoring, and incident response for the department and partner agencies during unexpected events or period of high demand that may impact the ability to provide services to the community.
The position can be performed from any capital city, other locations may be considered for a suitable high quality candidate.

• An appreciation of the challenges of working in a large, geographically dispersed and complex organisation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement and stakeholder engagement skills.

Tertiary qualifications are desirable.
A merit pool may be established to fill other roles as they become available within the following 12 month period.
