Job Description


The Project Management and Change Office (PMCO) has been established within the Strategy Business and Transformation Office (SBTO). The PMCO operates at a strategic level in collaboration with our Executives and relevant stakeholders across the network. The goal of this centralised office is to lead and manage change across the organisation, and provide agency-wide guidance, standardised processes, and best practices, tools and techniques to support the delivery of strategic projects.

The Change Management Office is responsible for leading and managing change across the organisation, providing commonality and a single go-to point. The CMO aims to establish practices to improve the adoption of new business and operating practices, build change capability within the organisation, and draw on employee engagement data to drive initiatives and projects that have a focus on improving staff engagement, motivation, and satisfaction.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Adviser role will:

• Provide support to the team and external service providers to deliver change management and project management activities
• Assist with the delivery of cross-agency projects
• Coordinate, provide input to and support the delivery of the employee engagement surveys (Pulse Survey and APS Employee Census)
• Perform basic research and analysis, manipulate data and produce accurate reporting
• Support the delivery of communication activities, including relevant content management on the HUB
• Prepare draft procurement documentation and provide information relating to finance and procurement, ensuring compliance with P2P, CEIs and other relevant practices.
• Contribute to and coordinate briefing materials and submissions
• Provide ad-hoc support across the Branch
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, represent the organisation in a professional manner at events and forums
• Cross skill with team members to ensure information and knowledge transfer
• Identify risks, escalate appropriately and takes corrective action where necessary


The successful candidate will be subject to a national security assessment to Baseline


Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

This a non-ongoing contract for the period of 12 months
