At the ABCC, we work to ensure the building industry is fair, efficient and productive. We provide assistance, advice and education to the building and construction industry; monitor and promote compliance with relevant laws; undertake enforcement activities; and use information and analysis to inform decision making.

The ABCC has offices in each capital city across Australia, and most comprise of multi-disciplinary teams of Investigators, Lawyers and support personnel.

About the Position

We are offering an outstanding opportunity to a recent graduate or near-graduate that has a genuine interest in commencing their career as an APS3 Investigator in the highly specialised but exciting area of workplace relations. This position will be based in our Hobart office. Investigators undertake assessments, investigations and audits relating to breaches of Commonwealth workplace laws.

As an Investigator, you will participate in education sessions that the ABCC provides to the building and construction industry, assist with the preparation of reports and briefs of evidence, and maintain and use digital technologies such as case management systems.

We’d prefer a graduate from a broad range of disciplines that may have studied in areas including, but not limited to:

• Industrial relations
• Workplace relations
• Human resources
• Criminology
• Investigations or the law

The Graduate Investigator will:

• participate in a structured training program; a mixture of on-the-job training as well as virtual, self-paced and group learning activities;
• be assigned a buddy upon commencement;
• be offered an attractive base salary of $63,037 plus 15.4% superannuation;
