As a Principal Adviser, you will work alongside and collaborate with a diverse and talented group of professionals to drive innovation in policy, legislation and regulatory reform. Your contribution will assist the government to make informed decisions on policies for the good of the Australian people, consistent with achieving strong, sustainable economic growth and fiscal settings.

Successful candidates will undertake integral leadership roles and support the Secretary and Executive team in the provision of high quality and timely advice to government that supports the effective management of the Australian economy. Your excellent stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to represent the Treasury and Australian Government at a range of forums; as well as oversee engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, including influencing outcomes, through leading and motivating others.

We are looking for inspiring and influential leaders who seek to excel. You will have strong conceptual and analytical skills and be able to engage with and anticipate and respond to the needs of clients and stakeholders across all levels to provide an exceptional client experience. Strong contenders will have a strategic and demonstrated record of achievement contributing to, and leading policy reform.

Eligibility


Employees of the Treasury are required to be Australian citizens and are required to obtain a security clearance prior to commencement and maintain this clearance for the duration of their employment.
