Duties


As the Assistant Director-General Enterprise Management and Reform you will lead the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Enterprise Management and Reform Branch to deliver the ACSC’s vision to make Australia the safest place to connect online.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head ACSC (a Deputy Director-General within the Australian Signals Directorate) to drive the ACSC’s strategy and ambitious business transformation agenda and ensure the organisation operates effectively.

The position is responsible for ACSC strategy and business planning, performance review and evaluation, and business improvement initiatives, to ensure the ACSC reforms meet its vision, and Government requirements. It will establish and manage a formal program to build and maintain a continuous improvement culture and programs within the ACSC to test operational posture, business processes and capability, tackle new policy challenges, and effect adaptive change.

It is responsible for managing the ACSC operational governance framework for business intelligence data collection to maximise operational performance, and for managing the legal instruments associated with ACSC partnerships.

It also coordinates contributions to ASD corporate planning, assessment and reporting processes on behalf of Head ACSC and manages the Head ACSC Executive Office.
The role requires a demonstrated ability to build future organisational capability and anticipate and respond to external drivers which will impact ASD business. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading corporate governance processes, facilitating organisational strategy and/or policy, as well as organisational change initiatives. They will have the sound judgment to manage competing requirements in an evolving strategic environment. A time of great change and increasing demand for cyber security services, the successful candidate will also have a strong delivery focus with the ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships and expectations of others to achieve outcomes.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated ability to operate in accordance with, and actively promote ASD’s values and the Defence Leadership Behaviours, which will continue to be adopted and implemented within ASD. The remuneration package includes superannuation, an Executive Vehicle allowance and, where applicable, relocation expenses. The salary component for this position may be negotiated with the successful candidate.
 

Eligibility


Engagement may be negotiated on an ongoing basis or for a specified term. To be eligible for engagement, an applicant must be, or intend to become, a permanent Australian citizen. This is a security-designated position. The successful applicant will be required to undergo security assessments to the highest level and must be able to be cleared to Top Secret Positive Vetting.
