An exciting opportunity exists for Senior Quality Assessors in various locations around the country. Senior Quality Assessors are responsible for conducting accreditation audits, assessments and reviews on a range of aged care services.

Successful candidates will have a keen desire to regularly travel and be provided with an ISQua internationally accredited training program.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) formed on 1 January 2019. The role of the Commission is to protect and enhance the safety, health, well-being and quality of life of people receiving aged care. These roles will support the regulatory oversight and accreditation of aged care services and come with an attractive salary and superannuation package.

You will be responsible for:
• Representing the Commission with credibility and professionalism;
• Assessing the quality of care and services provided through aged care services against the applicable standards;
• Interviewing consumers and their representatives about the quality of care and services provided through an aged care service;
• Collecting, synthesizing, and analysing evidence to make findings;
• Preparing accurate reports to inform statutory decisions;
• Working effectively as a team member and team leader to accomplish organisational goals;
• Travelling regularly within your State/Territory and across Australia;
• Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively; and
• Being registered and maintaining registration as a Quality Assessor under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Rules 2018.

You will have:
• A friendly and professional manner
• A willingness to travel each week
• A current driver’s licence

You will be provided with:
• A phone and laptop or similar mobile device technology
• Relevant training to become a registered Quality Assessor

 

Eligibility


The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission encourages people with the following backgrounds and experience to apply.

• Systems auditors
• Human service managers, e.g. disability services, indigenous services, services delivered to culturally and linguistically diverse consumers
• Quality improvement managers
• Health professionals
• Professional standards or human services investigators
• Complaints managers
• Aged Care professionals including home care, community care and residential care
• Educators and trainers


To succeed, applicants will have strong inter-personal and communication skills, be able to analyse complex situations and have sound computer skills to write reports using mobile device technology. A driver’s licence is mandatory.

These roles involve regular travel away from home within each state to aged care services in rural and regional locations. These roles require consecutive weeknight stays each week.

These roles are classified APS6 and as such the range of salary will commence at $$81,784 upp to a maximum of $$92,265. The salary offered will be subject to experience of the successful candidate and upon registration as a Quality Assessor. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
