Duties


Are you a dedicated and motivated HR practitioner/generalist? Are you able to link HR policy and procedures to organisational priorities and objectives?

We are looking for a strong performer with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You will work within a small client focussed and proactive HR team and manage a number of client groups and HR portfolio areas ensuring high quality, attention to detail and responsiveness.

You will provide input into HR policy and procedures ensuring they link to our strategic goal of Building a Modern AAT through integration, transformation, engagement and optimisation. You will partner with managers to implement HR initiatives and strategies to manage employee engagement and performance.

Your HR case management skills will be sound. You will proactively manage attendance, fitness for duty, early intervention, rehabilitation, compensation and performance cases.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

This position will be offered as ongoing or non-ongoing. If non-ongoing, the position will be offered for a period of 12 months and subject to Regulation 3.6 may be extended up to three years.

About Administrative Appeals Tribunal 

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) has offices located in all states of Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian Government, some non-government bodies and the Norfolk Island Government.

On 1 July 2015 the Migration Review Tribunal, Refugee Review Tribunal and Social Security Appeals Tribunal were merged with the AAT. The amalgamated AAT comprises a number of Divisions: Social Services and Child Support, Migration and Refugee, and General and Other.
