Job Description

Duties


As part of the NDIA’s senior leadership team, the GM Communication & Media is accountable for leading the provision of NDIA’s internal communications to support the Agency to develop, protect and promote the NDIA brand. As a brand custodian, you will ensure consistency of internal and external communications across the Agency, through templates and key messages, and approve communications with Agency-wide relevance.

You will expertly drive NDIA media engagement, including engagement with community and government partners. The GM Communication & Media is expected to act as a NDIA spokesperson lead.

You will lead, refine and implement an NDIA media and internal and external communications strategy, including the development of communications frameworks, key messages, media engagement policies, social, online and paid media. This role will have overall coordination of the Agency’s approach to, and use of, social and digital media.

Finally, the incumbent will support the eight strategic programs of work being delivered by the Agency over the next financial year. This role will be required to be a champion of innovative and accessible communication for people with disability and people from diverse backgrounds.

 

Eligibility


This position requires the successful candidate to have (or the ability to obtain) a Baseline security clearance.
