A full-time, ongoing opportunity exists in our National Office at Parramatta NSW for an Assistant Director Corporate Affairs. This role will work collaboratively with senior leadership to implement key Australian Aged Care Quality Agency’s initiatives and strategies.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Industry Engagement and Communication, your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead a team in achieving their goals through the provision of guidance and quality assurance
• Manage a framework of business reporting to support strategic and ongoing service delivery planning, performance monitoring and to meeting organisational reporting requirements
• Coordinate the secretariat support for the Aged Care Quality Advisory Council, including preparation of agenda, minutes, papers; weekly briefing and support for Council related engagements
• Input and implement strategic planning of the Corporate Affairs function
• Ensure that the Agency’s mission, vision and strategic objectives are pertinent and practised throughout the Corporate Affairs Division
• Communicate work alignment with corporate priorities and monitor progress and work to deliver key projects
• Provide strategic advice, problem solving and issues management in relation to complex and potentially controversial matters
• Assist with the management of critical and sensitive issues to deliver consistent strategic and quality messaging in line with current policies and objectives, and to ensure executives are adequately prepared and fully briefed on key messages and issues
• Proactively contribute to agency strategic planning and decision making processes to ensure that plans and programs are informed by high quality advice and opportunities to achieve agency and stakeholder engagement outcomes
• Create clear performance delivery goals and measurements
• Plan the development, implementation, review and evaluation of integrated initiatives to identify and manage risk
• Build a culture of customer service and stakeholder engagement to improve outcomes for stakeholders and communities
 

Eligibility


• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively, including presenting to and engaging with varied audiences.
• Ability to understand complex legislative authorising environments and apply to a range of workplace activities, including drafting of written advice and correspondence.
• Experience providing support and advice to executive, senior management and key external stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated understanding of parliamentary processes.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and translate strategic objectives to develop, manage and deliver appropriate corporate responses.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and organisational skills.
 

Notes


Salary offered will be between $97,391 and $112,975 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
