The Organisation is seeking a senior executive for appointment as Assistant Director-General Human Resources (ADG/HR) who will provide strategic leadership, management and direction within the Organisation.

As ADG/HR you will lead diverse teams and work collaboratively across business to deliver strategic HR advice and solutions, including:

- employment relations;
- conduct, performance management;
- work, health and safety;
- workforce management and analytics;
- diversity and inclusion; and
- Recruitment.


You will have a proven track record that demonstrates your ability to coordinate, manage and perform successfully across a wide range of HR functions at the highest organisational levels. Your strategic leadership skills, outstanding communication skills and your proven reputation mean you will be able to succeed in a fast-paced and high pressure environment.


 

Eligibility


To be eligible for any role within ASIO, you must:
- be an Australian citizen with a checkable background; and
- be assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a Positive Vetting security clearance

Working Conditions:
Employment is under the ASIO Act 1979. Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service. Salary packaging arrangements are available.

The selection period is extensive and candidates must be prepared to undergo various selection stages over an extended period of time.

All employment decisions and selection processes within ASIO are based on merit principles. The duties of the appointment require a national security clearance. Preferred candidates must be assessed as suitable to hold a high level security clearance and will be required to undergo psychological assessment and intrusive security and personal checking/ assessment.
