Duties


The Information and Technology Services (I&TS) Division is responsible for Austrade’s information technology environment and the delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services for staff onshore and globally. Within this Division, Infrastructure Operations are responsible for the design, implementation and support of a broad range of highly integrated technologies and services in both Unclassified and Protected environments.

This role is responsible for the management and leadership of the Infrastructure Operations team, and the services and support provided by that team.

Responsible for the full lifecycle, from development through to support, maintenance and documentation of Austrade’s ICT Infrastructure (Hardware and Software) including but not limited to the Data Centre, Branch office compute, Server, Storage, Database, Workstation, Telecommunications Network, Cloud Services, Gateway and Mobile.

Manage and lead the Infrastructure Operations team to ensure the safety, security and ongoing operations of Austrade’s ICT infrastructure including Networks, Data Centres, server rooms and other ICT facilities that house supported platforms.

In conjunction with other Austrade ICT teams, guide the strategic direction for Austrade’s Infrastructure Operating environment and the alignment to Departmental, Government and Industry directions or directives.

This position provides a 24X7 service to Austrade’s global operations, out-of-hours work may be required.

To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen.

The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (NV2) security clearance, or hold a security clearance at an appropriate level.
