Duties


APS5/6

Working under some direction:

1. Supervise, undertake, prepare and/or co-ordinate:

• analysis and investigation of digital platforms, and their impact on competition focusing on the supply of news and journalistic content and the implications for media content creators, advertisers and consumers
• detailed industry analysis
• correspondence, recommendations, and submissions to the Commission and reports to Parliament
• material for inclusion in instructions to ACCC consultants and/or external legal counsel

2. Develop and manage staff for individual and team performance, and help foster a positive and productive work environment.

3. Engage positively with external stakeholders to the benefit of the Inquiry and its team.

EL1/2

Successful applicants will be able to work under limited guidance to:

1. Lead, manage, prepare and/or co-ordinate:

• analysis and investigation of digital platforms, and their impact on competition focusing on the supply of news and journalistic content and the implications for media content creators, advertisers and consumers
• detailed industry analysis
• correspondence, recommendations, and submissions to the Commission and reports to Parliament

3. Engage positively with external stakeholders to the benefit of the Inquiry and its team.

People with significant understanding of or experience working in the media or for digital platforms, with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly desired.
