Job Description


The Capability Projects Manager is based at the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) in Kingston, Tasmania and leads the Year Round Aviation Access and the Traverse Capability Projects. Both projects fall under the umbrella of the Antarctic Modernisation Program, which has responsibility for the acquisition, transition into service, and through life support of a range of initiatives outlined in Australia's Antarctic Strategy and 20 -Year Action Plan to enhance delivery of the Australian Antarctic Program.

The Capability Project Manager plays a key role in managing all aspects of the scoping, development and delivery phases of these two projects.



It is highly desirable that the individual possess the following experience / skills:
• extensive and recent experience in capability acquisition projects.
