Job Description

Duties


The National Data Acquisition Centre (NDAC), based in Geelong, manages survey contact activities, both business and household, and is responsible for the ongoing development of future ABS survey instruments, processes and data provider management strategies.

We are seeking motivated, adaptable people who possess a flexible approach to problem solving and an ability to use their initiative. Previous experience working in a fast paced operationally focused work area is desirable.

Permanent and temporary employment opportunities will be offered depending on business need, and the skills, experience and qualifications of successful applicants. Temporary roles may be offered for an initial period of up to 18 months, with the possibility of further extension.

Roles are available at the APS 5 Level in the following NDAC business streams:

• Planning and Engagement stream: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate good project management, coordination, planning and reporting practices.

• Operational Management stream: Assist in managing day to day operations, data provider management and Interviewer workforce planning to ensure consistent, high quality, cost effective and timely collection of ABS data.

Eligibility


To be eligible for engagement to the Australian Public Service (APS), candidates must be Australian Citizens.

Whilst this position currently does not require the occupant to have a security clearance, it may at some time in the future and to continue performing those duties you must be prepared to obtain a security clearance at that time.
