Duties


Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare - Maritime (ISREW-M) SPO is seeking a number of highly professional, motivated, enthusiastic and experienced APS 6 Security and Business Officers to assist in the management of the security and business areas of the SPO responsible for delivering the RAN’s ISREW capabilities. These positions will be responsible for managing the day to day security aspects of SPO security, and in consultation with other Branch security staff assisting in the management of designated secure facilities. One of these positions is based in Russell Offices, ACT and one of these positions is based at DSTG Edinburgh, SA and the successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, military and contractor staff, to ensure the Electronic Warfare capabilities are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with operational requirements, budget and service agreements.

ISREW Maritime SPO currently manages a number of electronic warfare products fitted to both the surface and sub-surface fleet, such as the SEA 1397 Phase 5 Nulka decoy projects and SEA 1448 Phase 4A Electronic Support Systems with the introduction of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products identified in the Defence Integrated Investment Plan (IIP), including SEA 5011. One of these positions is based in Russell Offices, ACT and one of these positions is based at DSTG Edinburgh, SA.

Successful applicants must be able to obtain a Positive Vetting security clearance and will not be able to commence in the positions without Negative Vetting 2 clearance. These positions are subject to International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulations citizenship requirements.
 

Eligibility


Prior to commencement successful applicants will be required to undergo a psychological assessment and an extensive security clearance process. As a Positive Vetting clearance is required, applicants must be Australian Citizens; be able to account for their personal background for their whole life; and be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a high security intelligence environment.
