Job Description


We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing executive assistant to join our executive support team in a key role responsible for supporting the President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. You will work as part of a small, professional team who are committed to providing service excellence to both internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, professional and communicate and negotiate with influence. The ability to manage competing priorities is a ‘must’ and you will be able to demonstrate prior experience managing a complex area of operations in a dynamic environment. You will be enthusiastic with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

This is a demanding role that works closely with our President, and requires commitment and personal drive. In return we can offer you the opportunity to work closely with the executive of a key federal government organisation in a supportive work environment.

About Administrative Appeals Tribunal 

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) has offices located in all states of Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian Government, some non-government bodies and the Norfolk Island Government.

On 1 July 2015 the Migration Review Tribunal, Refugee Review Tribunal and Social Security Appeals Tribunal were merged with the AAT. The amalgamated AAT comprises a number of Divisions: Social Services and Child Support, Migration and Refugee, and General and Other.
