Job Description


The organisation is expanding its executive management. An influential leader is needed with the ability to develop and implement strategic and operational goals for the CLC now and into the future. You are encouraged to apply if you meet the following criteria:
• You are Aboriginal person culturally aligned to the Central Australian region.
• You have extensive understanding of Aboriginal communities and culture.
• You possess qualifications and experience relevant to a senior leadership position.
• You are a dynamic and effective team leader, able to mentor and motivate your staff to achieve their potential and meet organisational objectives.
• You have superior negotiation, consultation, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to represent and advocate with Governments and key stakeholders on behalf of the CLC and its constituents.
• You have a high degree of personal integrity, passion for this work, high energy and resilience.
• Proven management experience in another significant organisation is preferred.
This newly created role will oversee the day-to-day operations of selected functions. The actual assigned responsibilities initially will be subject to the relevant experience and expertise of the applicant. If required, the successful applicant may be provided with development opportunities to further enhance and refine their capabilities in order to assume a more senior leadership role and to effectively represent the CLC and its constituent’s on a variety of issues.
Remuneration and a position description will be negotiated at a senior executive level of a Commonwealth Corporate Entity commensurate with the level of ability, experience and qualifications of the preferred applicant. CLC is also a public benevolent institution (PBI).
