Job Description

Duties


The ATO maintains a Temporary Employment Register to assist in the filling of short-term (up to a maximum period of 18 months) temporary and casual vacancies.

Depending on business needs, the register may be used to fill vacancies on the following basis:
• full time
• part time or
• irregular/intermittent (hours and working days varying as required)

Positions may be filled at the APS1 to APS6, EL1 and EL2 classification levels and in various locations.

The ATO offers employment opportunities across a wide range of functions.
 

Eligibility


To be eligible for employment at the ATO, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• hold Australian Citizenship
• be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Check
• be willing and eligible to obtain a security clearance to the appropriate level, if applicable to the position.

The ATO Temporary Employment Register is re-advertised every six months. At the end of each six month period you will need to re-apply to the new register if you are still interested.

You will be emailed before the register is readvertised and invited to renew your application.

You can update your resume online at any time and you can withdraw your application if you are no longer available to work for us.

This register may be used to engage employees to perform duties on a short-term non-ongoing basis, should such positions become available. There is no guarantee that any work will be available. For casual positions the nature of irregular and intermittent work means there can be no expectation of work of any particular pattern or duration. This register is intended for non-ongoing opportunities only and applicants should have no expectation of gaining ongoing employment through this register.
