Job Description
Duties
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Communications Officer to fill a vacancy within the Communications Section of the Strategy and Performance Branch. We are looking for an experienced, keen Communications Officer to join a small, enthusiastic team, working in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of Parliament House.
The Department provides a wide range of services to Parliamentarians, other building occupants and visitors. The job involves both internal and external communications. Tasks include providing communications advice and support to the department, and the development of a variety of physical and online communication products. A flair for design would be a definite advantage and formal qualifications in media, communications or public relations are desirable.
Eligibility
Eligibility and/or job specific requirements: Significant experience in media or communications is essential. A degree, diploma or other qualification in marketing, communications or public relations is desirable.
