Working within Cancer Australia’s Policy, Strategy and Public Reporting team, the Policy Officer will contribute to public reporting requirements of the Agency, assist in preparing advice to the Minister’s Office, Department of Health and Ageing and other stakeholders, and contribute to the development of strategic policy initiatives.
This position would suit an enthusiastic graduate with an interest health policy. To be successful in this position the candidate will have a high degree of initiative and strong administrative and effective communication skills. The role requires the ability to pay attention to detail, maintain a flexible approach and to effectively multi-task. The successful applicant will be technically proficient in MS office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
Tertiary qualifications in a health policy, social science or related discipline are considered desirable. A salary package, depending on qualifications and experience, will be negotiated with the successful applicants.
