The Australian Communications and Media Authority is seeking people from a range of disciplines who are interested in non-ongoing (temporary) employment opportunities that may arise in our Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney offices. Positions may become available across areas including; Human Resources, Media and Publications (including web management), Engineering and Technical, Records and Information Management, General Administration, Finance, Executive Assistant, Information Technology, Policy Development and Implementation, Legal Services, Facilities Management or Procurement and Contract Management.
The Temporary Employment Register is primarily used to fill short term non-ongoing (temporary) positions at short notice. However, opportunities for longer term employment (up to 12 months) may arise from time to time. Positions may be full time, part time or casual depending on business needs. You will be required to undertake a range of operational and administrative tasks with the extent of the duties being determined by the level at which the vacancy is offered.
Vacancies will be filled as the need arises and you may be contacted to assess your suitability and availability should a vacancy arise at any time
To be eligible for non-ongoing employment at the ACMA, applicants should:
• hold Australian Citizenship or have the legal right to work in Australia
• be willing to undergo an AFP Character Clearance; and
• be willing and eligible to obtain a security clearance to the appropriate level if applicable to the position.
Applications will remain valid for up to six months from the commencement of the register - 11 October 2012 to 10 April 2013. Application renewal is required on a six month basis to ensure that you are still interested in working for the ACMA. You will be emailed in April, at the time the register is closing and asked to resubmit your application if you are still interested in temporary employment opportunities at the ACMA.
