The Australian Trade Commission – Austrade – is the Australian Government’s trade, investment and education promotion agency.
Through a global network of offices, Austrade assists Australian companies to grow their international business, attracts productive foreign direct investment into Australia and promotes Australia’s education sector internationally.

The General Manager Strategy and Governance supports the CEO and the Senior Executive Group through the provision of high level advice on strategies, planning and governance to ensure that Austrade maximizes its value to business and government.

Working as part of the senior executive team for Austrade, the General Manager Strategy and Governance will lead Strategy and Analysis, Planning, Ministerial Liaison and Governance activities for Austrade.

You will need highly developed skills and competencies in line with the APS - SES core selection criteria as well as significant experience at a senior executive level in Strategy and Governance and in leadership roles.

To be successful you will bring to Austrade strong commercial acumen and the credibility to contribute substantially to strategic development. You will have an outstanding track record of achievement in senior management and governance within a substantial and complex organisation.
