AusAID is seeking economists at the APS 5 level to provide advice that shapes the direction and nature of AusAID’s investments to help in partner countries. By applying rigorous analytical tools and economic concepts you will assist the Government to achieve results and value for money at a time of growth and expansion of the aid program. You will develop a deep understanding of the economies that we work in. This will allow you to provide advice that explains the linkages within these economies and therefore the impact of different aid investments.
Based in Canberra, with opportunities for overseas travel, you will work in multidisciplinary teams with sector experts and development specialists to advise on the design and delivery projects that help developing countries. Your strong capability to conduct economic analysis will be complemented with the ability to work across a range of policy areas such as health, education, social protection, infrastructure or public sector reform.
