The East Asia Division wishes to recruit a Communications & Media Officer to play a pivotal role across the Division.
The main responsibilities of the position include: developing, implementing and evaluating strategic communication activities under limited direction; contributing to a range of products including publications, online channels, media and/or events, meeting budgets and deadlines; drafting media releases and media responses in consultation with overseas staff under tight deadlines and undertaking administrative duties in relation to communications, such as contract management for service providers.
Formal qualifications in public relations, marketing, journalism or similar are highly desirable. Some travel may be required and the successful applicant must be able to work out of hours as needed.
Candidates must be Australian citizens. This is a security assessed role and you will be required to either have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
