The General Manager, Chief Information Officer is responsible for oversighting and co-ordinating information management and technology services activities in the Treasury. The General Manager, Chief Information Officer will oversight teams with responsibility for IT operations, systems, training and development; record keeping; information services; IT security and IT contracts. The role provides high level advice to the Treasury Executive, will ensure the department's information resources are managed in a way which supports the department's business needs, will represent the department at external fora and will be responsible for ensuring that the department meets relevant Government policies and obligations. The General Manager, Chief Information Officer will also form part of the SES management team of Treasury's Corporate Services Group.
It is desirable that applicants have relevant tertiary qualifications, extensive knowledge of and experience in, the areas of information and communications technology and information management.
