Job Description

Duties
The occupant of this position will be primarily concerned with the scientific quality, performance and management of current, new and improved meteorological observations systems, and their instrument networks and operations this will include developing documentation on processes and procedures. Much of the occupant’s work will involve participation in small project groups comprising multidisciplinary membership from many areas of the Bureau.
The person will be required to prepare documentation including instrument instructions, test reports and procedures. The person would need a high level of oral and written communication skills and be able to lead or work as part of a small team or independently depending on the circumstances.
 
Eligibility
Mandatory Qualifications – A degree or diploma of an Australian institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties; OR other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties.
