Job Description
Duties
ComSuper administers the main superannuation schemes for Australian Government civilian employees and military personnel. A new Chief Executive Officer position to head ComSuper is included in legislation before the Commonwealth Parliament.
As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the organisation through a period of significant organisational and cultural change. You will contribute to the Government's superannuation administration reform program, and be responsible for ensuring the organisation is best placed to deliver sustainable cost effective services into the future. In your role as Chief Executive Officer, you will work closely with the proposed new trustee, the Department of Finance and Deregulation and government stakeholders.
To be a strong contender, you will need to be an outstanding leader and manager with a substantial record of achievement at a senior executive level. You will have a significant track record of managing major organisational change in complex environments, with the capacity to think strategically and creatively. You will have a good understanding of, or an ability to quickly gain knowledge about, the superannuation industry and the workings of government. Your sound judgement will be complemented by impressive communication, negotiation and representation skills and a personal style that engenders trust and respect.

Conditions: The successful candidate will receive an attractive remuneration package.
Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term
Appointment is for a period of up to five years. The successful candidate will be eligible for reappointment. To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be Australian citizens.
