Job Description

Duties
The responsibilities of this position include:
1) building and maintaining effective working relations with Business Teams and IT Teams as appropriate
2) facilitating and assisting with the development of business requirements for work requiring Centrelink IT effort
3) facilitating and assisting with the resolution of problems and issues arising from business requirements
4) Identifying stakeholders and co-ordinating IT feasibility and technical assessment of change requirements
5) assisting with the management of business demand & negotiating mismatches of demand and IT supply
6) providing input into regular and ad-hoc Executive reports about the status of work requiring IT effort
7) high level monitoring of the ongoing progression of tasks until delivery is finalised in consultation with the IT Coordinator/Project Management
8) supporting the General Manager, Business Systems Division to achieve against prescribed accountabilities.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate skills in one or more of the following areas:
- well developed communication and organisation abilities
- highly effective liaison and negotiation skills
- ability and a willingness to work in an environment of changing workloads and priorities, requiring flexibility and a commitment to team work
- highly developed analytical skills.

Commencing salary will be in accordance with the applicant’s skills, knowledge and experience. Please quote Reference no. 2010/57.
