Job Description

Duties
As a Business Manager in the Parliamentary, Planning, Governance and Risk Branch you will manage a team that undertakes functions such as:
1) Co-ordination of Centrelink’s services to the Minister for Human Services & the Department of Human Services; including briefings, correspondence, Senate Estimates and Parliamentary committee requirements;
2) Management of executive support to the Chief and Deputy Chief Executive Officers;
3) Management of escalated issues through Centrelink’s governance processes;
4) Management of Centrelink’s relationship with the Commonwealth Ombudsman
5) Development and management of Corporate Business Planning
6) Development and management of Corporate Risk Planning
7) Develop systems and strategies to meet workloads, quality and timeliness standards, including performance reporting;
8) Positively manage Centrelink’s awareness of Parliamentary, Governance, Planning & Risk requirements and activities;
9) Manage and strengthen the relationship with the Minister’s Office and the Department of Human Services;
10) Manage and strengthen relationships with policy departments and key external stakeholders,
11) Develop strategies to promote and develop the overall understanding of Parliamentary, Governance, Planning & Risk practices within Centrelink
12) Develop, manage and monitor quality control processes for the branch
