Job Description
Duties
Looking for a great way to transition your studies into a career? The Australian Public Service (APS) has a range of positions available for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who have recently or will have completed an undergraduate degree by February 2011.
While many of the positions are based in Canberra, there may be opportunities available in regional locations. The APS is seeking graduates from a range of disciplines. Graduate starting salaries in 2011 are expected to range up to $53,000. Actual salaries will vary according to the agency you are employed in and the skills and experience you possess.
Ultimately, this program is the first step in a great career where you know that what you do will make a difference. By lodging a single application you may be considered for employment opportunities in a wide range of Australian Government agencies. We are seeking people to work in a variety of fields in the APS from international relations to the environment. This also includes, but is not limited to, opportunities to work in Indigenous affairs.
An application kit and further information can be obtained from http://www.apsc.gov.au/indigenous/. For more information, please contact email: indigenous@apsc.gov.au or phone the Australian Public Service Commission’s Indigenous Employment Team on 1300 656 009.
