What do Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, Daniel David and Gavin Bartell have in common?
They have all worked as Patent Examiners, and now IP Australia is offering suitably qualified people the chance to become one too.
A career as a Patent Examiner means you’ll:
- get exposure to cutting edge technology long before it becomes public knowledge;
- play an integral role in the innovation process; and
- never have to worry about research funding again!
Imagine the satisfaction you’d get from seeing a new product enter the market place knowing that you played a role in granting the inventor a robust patent right.
IP Australia’s Patent Examiners also enjoy an excellent work/life balance which means you’ll work hard but there will also be flexibility for you to spend time doing things you like outside of work.
Add to this a comprehensive training program on patent law and examination, ongoing professional development and an attractive salary, and it combines into a very attractive package. That’s why many technical experts just like you have already made the decision to work as a Patent Examiner at IP Australia.
